Terms of Use & Sale
The adult account, plan, payment, guarantee, and acceptable-use terms.
Terms of Use & Sale
These terms are between you (an adult account holder — parent, guardian, or teacher) and LEGAL_ENTITY_NAME ("we"), New Zealand. By creating an account or purchasing, you agree to them. Children use Ready Steady Math under your account and supervision; only adults can accept these terms or make purchases.
1. The service
Ready Steady Math is a maths-practice application for children roughly aged 6–11, with tools for parents and teachers. It works as a web app (PWA); core practice works offline, while accounts, sync, reports, and AI features require a connection.
2. Accounts & acceptable use
You're responsible for your account and for the children you add to it. Play codes are credentials — treat them like passwords and don't share them beyond your household or classroom. Don't attempt to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the service, resell access, or use it to harm anyone.
3. Plans (one household or classroom each)
- Free Starter — free limited practice; no payment details required.
- 21-Day Family Sprint — one-time payment; a structured 21-day times-tables sprint for one household, up to 4 child profiles, with Day 7 and Day 21 checkpoints, family dashboard, and 1 Coach Insight credit.
- Family Premium Lifetime — one-time payment; everything in the Sprint plus ongoing access to the core app (all four operations) for the life of the product, plus 2 Coach Insight credits.
- Teacher Founding Classroom — annual subscription for one teacher, up to 3 classes, including 3 Class Analysis credits per year.
"Founding" prices are introductory. Prices for new purchases may rise after launch; what you've already bought is never taken away.
4. Teacher price lock
Founding classroom subscribers keep their founding annual price for as long as their subscription renews continuously. If the subscription lapses and is later restarted, the then-current price applies. [DRAFT DEFINITION — lawyer to confirm.]
5. The 21-day money-back guarantee
If a household completes the sprint (reaches the Day 21 checkpoint) and you are not convinced it helped your child make useful progress, email SUPPORT_EMAIL within GUARANTEE_WINDOW_DAYS: 14 days of the Day 21 checkpoint and we will refund the sprint purchase in full. No forms, no interrogation — the checkpoints exist so you can judge from evidence. This guarantee is in addition to (and never limits) your rights under consumer law, including the NZ Consumer Guarantees Act and equivalent laws elsewhere.
6. Coach credits
- 1 family credit = 1 Coach Insight report; 1 teacher credit = 1 Class Analysis. Credits come with plans and can be bought in packs.
- Credits never expire, are non-transferable, have no cash value, and can't be redeemed for money.
- A fresh AI generation consumes one credit; viewing cached/previous reports never does.
- If a purchase is refunded, unused credits granted by that purchase are revoked; credits you've already used stay used. Purchased credit packs are refundable within 14 days if entirely unused. [DRAFT RULE — lawyer to confirm.]
7. Referral thank-yous
We may thank you for referrals with Coach credits (never cash). Rewards require the referred person to genuinely activate or purchase, are capped per year, and may be withheld where we detect self-referral or abuse. Referral invites always disclose that a thank-you in credits is involved.
8. AI features
Coach reports and plans are AI-generated guidance based on your child's practice data — they're insight, not professional educational, medical, or psychological advice. We apply safety rules to outputs, but you should apply your own judgment about your child.
9. Upgrades & changes
Sprint purchases are credited toward Lifetime for 7 days after the sprint ends (the app and your email show your exact date). We may improve, add, or retire features over time; if we ever retire something material to a paid plan, we'll say so plainly and treat existing purchasers fairly. "Lifetime" means the life of the Ready Steady Math product, which we intend to be long.
10. Content & IP
We own the app, artwork (including Dashie and friends), and content. You get a personal, non-transferable license to use them within the product. Anything you submit (support messages, testimonials with consent) you license to us for operating and — only with your explicit proof consent — promoting the service.
11. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under applicable consumer law. Beyond what the law doesn't allow us to limit: the service is provided "as is", and our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
12. Ending things
You can stop using the service and delete your account anytime (see the Privacy Policy for deletion). We can suspend accounts for abuse, fraud, or breach of these terms — with refunds where the law or fairness requires.
13. Governing law & disputes
New Zealand law governs these terms; disputes go to New Zealand courts — except where the consumer law of your home country gives you protections and venue rights that can't be excluded. Talk to us first: SUPPORT_EMAIL — most things are fixable in one email.
